Interior documentation and coordination with contractors and building teams
For an open-plan Jersey City apartment or condominium, we consider the kitchen, dining area, and living room together. Furniture scale, lighting, cabinetry, and finishes need to work across the entire space. We plan comfortable seating and useful storage while keeping routes through the home and access to windows clear.
For a townhouse renovation, we begin with the details you value: an existing stair, original trim, a favorite room, or furnishings collected over time. The design connects what you want to retain with new kitchens, baths, lighting, and custom work, so the finished home feels personal and considered.
Plan for the building as well as the interior
Before finalizing a renovation or furnishing plan, we discuss the requirements that apply to your property. For a condominium, that can include building review procedures, working hours, freight-elevator reservations, and delivery access. For a townhouse, stairs and entry dimensions can influence the size and assembly of furnishings.
We coordinate the agreed interior design work with your contractor, architect, and building team. Confirming responsibilities and access early helps connect the design with the practical steps needed to install it. Requirements depend on the building and the work proposed.
Tell us about the space, your priorities, and the design support you need. We discuss the next step and any consultation fee before arranging a meeting. A detailed proposal follows the initial consultation, setting out the services and design fees.

Jersey City interior design questions
Do you provide full-service interior design in Jersey City?
Yes. INSABELLADESIGN serves Jersey City homeowners and businesses from its Little Silver studio. Beth Insabella Walsh leads the design. Depending on your project, full service can include space planning, custom kitchens and baths, millwork, lighting, furnishings, interior drawings, purchasing, and coordination through installation.
Can you furnish my apartment without a renovation?
Yes. A furnishing project can focus on room layouts, furniture, upholstery, rugs, lighting, and window treatments. We can incorporate pieces you already own, then specify the additions that bring the rooms together. Share what you want to keep when you inquire.
Do you design offices and shared building interiors?
Yes. Our commercial work includes offices, reception and meeting spaces, healthcare interiors, and shared amenities. We develop the layout, finishes, lighting, and furnishings around the organization and its users, coordinating technical requirements with the responsible project professionals.
Can you work with my architect, contractor, or building management?
Yes. We coordinate interior plans, selections, and custom details with your existing project team. For a Jersey City condo or apartment, share any building guidelines early so review, work access, and delivery arrangements can be considered. Architectural, engineering, and approval responsibilities are established for each project.
How are design fees, budget, and timing determined?
They depend on the rooms involved, the extent of renovation, custom work, furnishings, product lead times, and building access. After the initial consultation, a detailed proposal sets out the design services and fees. Your priorities and anticipated investment help guide the scope; you do not need a finalized budget to make an inquiry.
What should I send to start a project?
Your name, email, project location, and a short description are enough to begin. Tell us whether the space is a home or business and what you would like to change. Plans and photographs can be shared later. We respond to discuss the next step and explain any consultation fee before arranging a meeting.
