Rooms for gathering and work

For a home, we plan seating around the way your household gathers and entertains. For a business, a shared lounge may need places for visitors, informal meetings, and quiet work. Each receives a layout suited to its users.

Materials and maintenance

Upholstery, flooring, and work surfaces should suit their level of use. We compare appearance, cleaning requirements, and product specifications before recommending selections, so a welcoming room is also practical to maintain.

How a project works

01

Define the project

Tell us about the space, your priorities, and the design support you need. We discuss the next step and any consultation fee before arranging a meeting. A detailed proposal follows the initial consultation, setting out the services and design fees.

02

Develop the design together

Review layouts, materials, lighting, and furnishing selections with us. We refine the design around your preferences and prepare the drawings and specifications included in the scope, so the project team has a coordinated direction.

03

Bring the interior to completion

We coordinate the agreed work with your contractor and trades, manage furnishing orders and delivery arrangements, and stay involved through installation and styling. Building access and product lead times are considered alongside the project schedule.

Client feedback on our firm

As an architect with considerable experience with differing project types, working with Beth and her staff has been a pleasure. Beth's team brought a fresh approach to the tired-looking interior of a subsidized housing midrise project built in the 1970s. Insabella Design is a highly skilled, motivated, and reliable firm that can be an asset to any interior design project. She and her team are dependable and committed to achieving excellence in their work. I look forward to working with Beth on our next project.

Eatontown interior design questions

Can you refresh a shared space without redesigning an entire building?

Yes. A lounge, reception area, or other shared room can be discussed as a defined project. We review its users, access, existing conditions, and relationship to surrounding spaces before agreeing on the interior design scope.

How do you scope a project that involves several spaces?

We discuss the users, purpose, existing conditions, and priorities for each space. From there, you know which rooms and services are included and who the interior work has to be coordinated with.

What affects the design budget and timeline?

The rooms involved, extent of renovation, custom work, product availability, building requirements, and installation needs all affect the project. Share your priorities and anticipated investment at the initial consultation; a detailed proposal follows that conversation. Any consultation fee is explained before a meeting is arranged.

Can you work with my architect or contractor?

Yes. We coordinate the agreed interior design scope with the relevant project professionals. Design, engineering, construction, and approvals have different responsibilities, which should be established for the individual project.
