Interior Design in Long Branch, New Jersey
Long Branch was a president's resort before it was a beach town: Grant, Hayes, and Garfield summered here, and Garfield died in an Elberon cottage in 1881. The resort years faded. The oceanfront sat quiet for decades, until Pier Village rebuilt it in 2005, a shingled, mixed-use development that reset Ocean Avenue as a year-round address. Interior design in Long Branch now serves that rebuilt shoreline and the older streets behind it.
The two tracks are physically different. Ocean Avenue, Pier Village, and The Bluffs are concrete-frame construction: fixed structural columns break up the floor plate, and condo association rules govern everything from window film to flooring underlayment before a renovation can start. A few blocks inland, Elberon and West End kept their Victorian and Shingle-style houses on original lots, where the columns disappear and the questions become which walls, moldings, and stair details are worth keeping.

Luxury Residential Interior Design in Long Branch
The signature Long Branch residential project is a high-floor unit on Ocean Avenue or in Pier Village, and the first decision is never finish, it's the column grid. A concrete-frame tower has structural columns at fixed intervals, so an open floor plan gets drawn around them: kitchen islands and sofa lines sized to the bays between columns, not the room. The floor-to-ceiling glazing sets the next constraint: southern light and salt air fade the wrong fabric within a season.
Kitchens here run waterfall stone and integrated appliances, sized so storage doesn't crowd the window wall behind them. Primary baths get heated floors, backlit stone, and freestanding tubs set where the light lands best. Millwork does real work too: boxing columns and mechanical chases into built-ins instead of leaving them as obstacles. In West End and Elberon, that same kitchen and bath program runs inside older walls, with new lighting and refinished floors.

Commercial Interior Design in Long Branch
Pier Village's restaurants, boutiques, and hospitality spaces, and the sales galleries inside the newer Ocean Avenue towers, call for commercial interiors that read as considered as the residences upstairs. Our commercial practice covers space planning, custom millwork, and lighting for exactly that build-out, suited to a district built on year-round visitors, not a single summer season.

The INSABELLADESIGN Difference
An oceanfront tower unit leaves no room for guessing: get the column spacing or the glazing wrong on paper and the mistake is poured in concrete. Founder Beth Insabella Walsh leads every Long Branch project herself, from the first walk-through of a unit's column grid through the final placement of furniture and art. The same holds for a West End or Elberon renovation, where the questions concern the house's history instead, and she reviews both before they're built.
INSABELLADESIGN is ASID and IIDA credentialed, WBENC-certified and woman-owned, with more than 500 projects and 3 million square feet of interiors designed since 1996. That range, from a Pier Village condo to a nineteenth-century Elberon house, is what a rebuilt shoreline like Long Branch's calls for.

How a Project Works
1. Start with a conversation
A consultation at our Little Silver studio or your property. We talk through the space, the scope, how you live or work in it, and what you want the finished project to accomplish. No obligation, and you will always be speaking with Beth.
2. Design and decisions
Space planning, materials, millwork and cabinetry design, lighting, and furnishings developed into one coherent plan, with drawings and documentation your contractor and trades can actually build from.
3. We carry it to the finish
We coordinate the trades, manage orders and timelines, and stay on the project through installation and styling, so you get a completed space rather than a plan left for you to assemble.
