Westfield's downtown carries more than four hundred businesses along a genuinely walkable core, one that won a national Main Street award in 2004. That density goes back a long way: the settlement dates to 1699, the township organized in 1794, and Westfield has been building a real center of gravity for three centuries. Interior design here answers to that: this isn't a bedroom community with a strip mall, it's a town where the storefronts get as much scrutiny as the houses.
The houses carry their own history. Where a lot of New Jersey suburbs settled for the reliable colonial, Westfield collected grand Queen Anne Victorians, shingle-style houses, and stone Tudors, several in Stoneleigh Park, bounded by Westfield Avenue, Shackamaxon Drive, Rahway Avenue, and Dorian Road, and carrying a National Register listing since 1988. The Rahway River and its Robinson's Branch cut through town, and the older streets grew up around that geography instead of a grid.

A Westfield Victorian is a joy and a responsibility at the same time. Newel posts, pocket doors, stained glass, and elaborate trim are exactly what a buyer paid for, so restoring and reinterpreting that detail comes first, before we touch a kitchen or a bath. In Stoneleigh Park specifically, where houses carry that National Register listing dating to 1988, the instinct to restore rather than replace matters even more.
That means custom kitchens that feel original to a century-old house instead of grafted onto it, spa primary baths with heated floors and freestanding tubs tucked into what used to be a sleeping porch, paneled studies, butler's pantries, and millwork detailed closely enough that new work sits flush against old.

1. Start with a conversation
A consultation at our Little Silver studio or your property. We talk through the space, the scope, how you live or work in it, and what you want the finished project to accomplish. No obligation, and you will always be speaking with Beth.
2. Design and decisions
Space planning, materials, millwork and cabinetry design, lighting, and furnishings developed into one coherent plan, with drawings and documentation your contractor and trades can actually build from.
3. We carry it to the finish
We coordinate the trades, manage orders and timelines, and stay on the project through installation and styling, so you get a completed space rather than a plan left for you to assemble.

We are a full-service design firm. That means space planning and design documentation, custom kitchens and baths, millwork, lighting, furnishing and installation. Decoration is part of the work, not the whole of it.
