Summit's classic homes are beautifully built and often set up for a different way of living. Our approach reconciles the two, preserving the architectural character that makes these houses special while reworking how they function: opening a formal kitchen to the family room, adding a proper mudroom and pantry, or reconfiguring a dated primary suite into a genuine private retreat, all without erasing the home's soul.
From there the craftsmanship shows. We design chef-caliber custom kitchens with honed stone, fine cabinetry, and considered detail; spa primary baths with heated floors, freestanding tubs, and marble chosen to age gracefully; paneled studies, libraries, wine rooms, and the millwork, lighting, and built-ins that give a substantial home its architectural backbone. How a Project Works
1. Start with a conversation
A consultation at our Little Silver studio or your property. We talk through the space, the scope, how you live or work in it, and what you want the finished project to accomplish. No obligation, and you will always be speaking with Beth.
2. Design and decisions
Space planning, materials, millwork and cabinetry design, lighting, and furnishings developed into one coherent plan, with drawings and documentation your contractor and trades can actually build from.
3. We carry it to the finish
We coordinate the trades, manage orders and timelines, and stay on the project through installation and styling, so you get a completed space rather than a plan left for you to assemble.

That is central to our work. Summit's colonials have wonderful architecture, and we preserve trim, proportion, and detail while reworking layouts, kitchens, and baths for the way families live today.
Do you offer full renovations or just decorating?
Both. Some Summit clients want the full scope, from layout through the last installed fixture; others already love their floor plan and just need it furnished and finished properly. We scale the engagement to match, so neither path loses out on attention to detail.
How involved is the founder in Summit projects?
Closely. Beth reviews every material selection and floor plan change herself before it moves forward, so nothing gets approved by a coordinator standing in for her judgment.
Do you design wine rooms, studies, and primary suites?
Yes. Those rooms come up often in Summit's larger colonials, where clients want a quiet retreat beyond the family spaces. We give them the same attention to millwork and proportion as any kitchen.
Can you also design a downtown Summit business?
Yes. A storefront near Main Street answers to the same audience as the homes a few streets over, and we hold it to an identical standard, from finish quality to how the space photographs online.
