Interior Design in Iselin, New Jersey
Iselin was named for Adrian Iselin, a New York financier who never lived here but paid for a girls' school and a train station in the 1870s; that station became Metropark, now the anchor of an office corridor along Wood Avenue South. A mile away, Oak Tree Road grew from a Revolutionary War crossroads into one of the largest South Asian business corridors in the country, more than 400 storefronts strong. Most Iselin homes date to the postwar boom, ranches and Capes built through the 1950s on modest Woodbridge Township lots, not the larger colonials found elsewhere in Middlesex County. That changes what a renovation actually involves: expansion usually goes up, into a dormered second story or a finished attic, rather than out, since the lot often won't allow it. We plan around that constraint from the first sketch, not after a permit gets rejected.

Luxury Residential Interior Design in Iselin
A Cape or ranch built in the 1950s reaches its limit fast: one bathroom, a closed-off kitchen, bedrooms sized for a smaller household than the one living there now. We open the kitchen to the living space where the framing allows it, add a dormer or finish the attic for real bedrooms rather than a crawlspace, and rework the primary bath past its original footprint. Many households here are multigenerational, so a workable layout often means a true second suite, not just an extra room.
Kitchens get particular attention. A household that cooks at real volume, and real heat, needs ventilation and exhaust sized for it, a layout that can handle more than one cook, and durable surfaces built for daily use rather than occasional entertaining. We design around how the kitchen actually gets used, not around a showroom version of one.

How a Project Works
1. Start with a conversation
A consultation at our Little Silver studio or your property. We talk through the space, the scope, how you live or work in it, and what you want the finished project to accomplish. No obligation, and you will always be speaking with Beth.
2. Design and decisions
Space planning, materials, millwork and cabinetry design, lighting, and furnishings developed into one coherent plan, with drawings and documentation your contractor and trades can actually build from.
3. We carry it to the finish
We coordinate the trades, manage orders and timelines, and stay on the project through installation and styling, so you get a completed space rather than a plan left for you to assemble.
