Our work is largely whole-home: reimagining substantial colonials and custom homes floor by floor so they live the way today's families expect. We design chef-caliber kitchens built for entertaining, spa primary suites with honed stone and freestanding tubs, paneled studies, wine rooms, and the custom millwork, built-ins, and layered lighting that make a large home feel deliberate rather than simply spacious.

1. Start with a conversation
A consultation at our Little Silver studio or your property. We talk through the space, the scope, how you live or work in it, and what you want the finished project to accomplish. No obligation, and you will always be speaking with Beth.
2. Design and decisions
Space planning, materials, millwork and cabinetry design, lighting, and furnishings developed into one coherent plan, with drawings and documentation your contractor and trades can actually build from.
3. We carry it to the finish
We coordinate the trades, manage orders and timelines, and stay on the project through installation and styling, so you get a completed space rather than a plan left for you to assemble.

Can you modernize a large, formal Lincroft colonial for how families live today?
Yes, and it is a strength of ours. A center-hall colonial can keep its formal proportions on the outside while the inside is reworked for real family use: sightlines opened between the kitchen and gathering spaces, a primary suite carved out where one is missing, and storage and mudroom space added where the original plan never accounted for it. Nothing about the house's character has to be sacrificed to make that happen.
Do you make big rooms feel intentional rather than empty?
Yes. Empty scale is a materials and lighting problem more than a floor-plan problem: paneling, millwork, and fixtures scaled to the room's proportions, several sources of light instead of one center fixture, and furniture chosen to hold the space rather than float in it. That is the difference between a room that reads as grand and one that just reads as big.
Will Beth Insabella Walsh personally lead my project?
Yes, on every job regardless of size. What that means day to day: she is the one walking the site, presenting the plan, and signing off on materials, not a name attached to a team you rarely see. For a homeowner making decisions about a house this size, having one person accountable for the whole outcome simplifies everything.
Do you handle new custom construction on wooded lots?
We do. We work with your architect and builder from the earliest drawings, shaping proportions, ceiling heights, and materials before framing, then carry the interior through to furnishings and art. Early involvement produces the most resolved finished home.
Is your work only whole-home, or do you do smaller projects?
Both. Whole-home work is where we spend most of our time, but a single kitchen, a primary suite, or a study is a complete project for us too, handled with the same design process, trade coordination, and installation oversight, just scaled to the room.
How do your fees work?
Cost depends on scope. After an initial consultation we provide a clear, detailed proposal so there are no surprises. Our clients value that transparency as much as the finished design.
