Interior Design in Hackensack, New Jersey
Hackensack is Bergen County's seat, home to Hackensack University Medical Center and the Bergen County Courthouse, a domed 1912 Beaux-Arts building on Court Street that anchors the city's legal district. Prospect Avenue has filled in with condo towers over the decades, from 1958's Prospect Towers to Camelot's twenty-one stories, while Fairmount's early-1900s brick homes hold the city's older, quieter residential edge. INSABELLADESIGN is the interior design firm working across all of it, medical, legal, and residential alike.
A condo in one of the Prospect Avenue towers comes with an open floor plan and a wall of glass, so the job is defining living, dining, and sleeping zones without walls, with kitchens and baths that read as considered, not developer-grade. On the office side, a medical practice near the hospital or a law firm off Court Street needs different things: durable finishes, legible layouts, and a reception area that reassures a patient or client before anyone speaks.

Luxury Residential Interior Design in Hackensack
A Prospect Avenue condo asks different questions depending on the building. Camelot rises twenty-one stories with the fixed structural columns of concrete-frame construction, breaking up the floor plate in ways a buyer feels before we ever draw a plan; older towers nearby come with their own co-op or condo boards, alteration agreements, and mechanical systems original to the building. Either way, board approval gets settled before a cabinet is ordered, and we plan the space around what the building actually allows.
Inside the unit, the work is about making a smaller footprint feel like a real home. We design custom kitchens and baths in furniture-grade cabinetry and stone, size furnishings to the plan so a compact space doesn't feel crowded or bare, and layer lighting so the room holds its own after dark instead of losing to the skyline through the glass. Closets, pantries, and linen storage get built in wherever the layout allows, since storage is what a tower unit is shortest on.

Commercial Interior Design in Hackensack
Commercial work is a genuine part of our Hackensack practice. We design medical and clinical suites for practices near Hackensack University Medical Center, where the layout has to stay calm and legible under real patient volume, and law offices near the Court Street courthouse, where the finish level has to read as substantial to a demanding clientele. Downtown's corporate and financial tenants get the same attention: space planning, millwork, and lighting chosen to stand up to daily use without looking institutional.

The INSABELLADESIGN Difference
INSABELLADESIGN runs Hackensack projects through one point of contact and one set of decisions, with no hand-off partway through. Beth Insabella Walsh leads every project personally, whether it's a condo on Prospect Avenue or a clinical suite two blocks from the hospital, and manages design through installation as a single job rather than a series of separate hires.
We've worked both sides of Bergen County, residential and commercial, since 1996, which matters in a city where a physician's condo and a physician's practice are increasingly a few floors apart. The same principal, the same standard, and the same firm can take on both.

As an architect with considerable experience with differing project types, working with Beth and her staff has been a pleasure. Beth's team brought a fresh approach to the tired-looking interior of a subsidized housing midrise project built in the 1970s. Insabella Design is a highly skilled, motivated, and reliable firm that can be an asset to any interior design project. She and her team are dependable and committed to achieving excellence in their work. I look forward to working with Beth on our next project.

How a Project Works
1. Start with a conversation
A consultation at our Little Silver studio or your property. We talk through the space, the scope, how you live or work in it, and what you want the finished project to accomplish. No obligation, and you will always be speaking with Beth.
2. Design and decisions
Space planning, materials, millwork and cabinetry design, lighting, and furnishings developed into one coherent plan, with drawings and documentation your contractor and trades can actually build from.
3. We carry it to the finish
We coordinate the trades, manage orders and timelines, and stay on the project through installation and styling, so you get a completed space rather than a plan left for you to assemble.
