Interior Design in East Freehold, New Jersey
East Freehold has no Main Street of its own. It's the northeast corner of Freehold Township, closer to the working farm stand at Wemrock Orchards than to any historic district, and its streets, Stonehurst among them, are built up with larger colonials on generous lots rather than eighteenth-century houses. The design problem here isn't preservation. It's that a big colonial built in the last few decades can easily read as a stack of disconnected big rooms.
INSABELLADESIGN serves Freehold Township and greater Monmouth County, and East Freehold's houses play to a specific strength: giving a large plan a spine. A kitchen, a family room, a living room, and a primary suite can each be generously sized and still fail to relate to each other without a deliberate hand connecting sightlines, ceiling heights, and material choices from the front door back.

Luxury Residential Interior Design in East Freehold
The kitchen is where most East Freehold projects start, because it's the room the rest of the plan has to answer to: custom cabinetry, honed stone or quartzite, a working island, integrated appliances, storage enough that a pantry and a mudroom don't get fought over. We plan the sightline from the kitchen to the family room first, then work outward, because in a lot of these houses that sightline was an afterthought.
Upstairs, the primary suite gets treated as its own project: a spa bath with a freestanding tub and a real shower, a custom vanity, and a closet built like cabinetry instead of a wire-shelf afterthought. Elsewhere in the house we add paneled studies, built-ins that give a great room some edges, and a finished lower level that earns its square footage instead of sitting empty.

Commercial Interior Design in East Freehold
East Freehold itself is residential, no storefronts of its own, but its owners work in and around the businesses that run along Freehold Township's commercial corridors: professional offices, medical and dental suites, and retail. We bring the same standards to those spaces that we bring to a home: real millwork, considered lighting, and finishes built to look intentional years after the punch list is closed.

The INSABELLADESIGN Difference
Beth Insabella Walsh runs every East Freehold project herself, start to finish. Since 1996, this WBENC-certified, woman-owned, ASID- and IIDA-credentialed firm has planned houses at exactly this scale.
A big house rewards a designer who plans the whole thing at once rather than room by room, because a kitchen chosen in isolation from the family room next to it, or a primary suite specified without reference to the lower level below it, is how a large colonial ends up feeling like several smaller houses stacked together. We plan East Freehold projects as one house, start to finish.

How a Project Works
1. Start with a conversation
A consultation at our Little Silver studio or your property. We talk through the space, the scope, how you live or work in it, and what you want the finished project to accomplish. No obligation, and you will always be speaking with Beth.
2. Design and decisions
Space planning, materials, millwork and cabinetry design, lighting, and furnishings developed into one coherent plan, with drawings and documentation your contractor and trades can actually build from.
3. We carry it to the finish
We coordinate the trades, manage orders and timelines, and stay on the project through installation and styling, so you get a completed space rather than a plan left for you to assemble.

We are a full-service design firm. That means space planning and design documentation, custom kitchens and baths, millwork, lighting, furnishing and installation. Decoration is part of the work, not the whole of it.
What does full service include?
Drawings, custom millwork and casework, lighting design, finishes, furnishings, procurement, trade coordination and installation. We coordinate the trades and manage the schedule.
Have you worked in this area?
Yes. Holmdel Residence, Colts Neck Residence and Monmouth Medical Center are in Monmouth County. The studio is in Little Silver and we work across New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Florida.
Do you design commercial spaces as well as homes?
Yes. Alongside residential work we design medical, corporate, government, retail and multifamily interiors. Work in Monmouth County includes Monmouth Medical Center, Monmouth County Prosecutors Office and Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center.
Do you take single rooms, or only whole homes?
Both. Scope runs from a single room to a full renovation or new build.
How do your fees work?
It depends on scope, from a single room to a full renovation or new build. After an initial consultation we provide a detailed proposal.
Who leads the project?
Beth Insabella Walsh, the firm’s founder, leads every project.
