The kind of project we take on in Bay Head is a careful, whole-home renovation of a beloved older shore house, the kind of project where the porch and the sightlines are sacred and everything else is on the table. 1. Start with a conversation
A consultation at our Little Silver studio or your property. We talk through the space, the scope, how you live or work in it, and what you want the finished project to accomplish. No obligation, and you will always be speaking with Beth.
2. Design and decisions
Space planning, materials, millwork and cabinetry design, lighting, and furnishings developed into one coherent plan, with drawings and documentation your contractor and trades can actually build from.
3. We carry it to the finish
We coordinate the trades, manage orders and timelines, and stay on the project through installation and styling, so you get a completed space rather than a plan left for you to assemble.

Do you specialize in Bay Head's older shingle-style homes?
Yes. Most of these projects start with the same walk-through: which portions of the house are original versus a later addition, whether the kitchen has already been touched once before and how well, and what the local historic guidelines actually allow before we plan a single wall move. That groundwork saves clients from a set of drawings that get sent back for revision.
How do you handle salt air and bay humidity in your material choices?
Salt air is harder on fasteners and finishes than most people expect, so we spec stainless or coated hardware even where it will not be seen, oil or wax finishes on wood that can be spot-refreshed instead of stripped and refinished, and upholstery fills that will not hold moisture and mildew in an unconditioned porch or pool house. Small decisions like these are what keep a house from looking tired in five years.
Can you work on both oceanfront and Twilight Lake / bayfront properties?
Absolutely. We work across Bay Head's entire barrier peninsula, from the East Avenue oceanfront to the lakefront blocks around Twilight Lake and the bayfront and yacht-club district, tailoring the interiors to each home's light, views, and exposure.
Do you take on whole-home projects or just single rooms?
Both, though whole-home is the more common scope for a Bay Head project. We're a full-service firm handling space planning, custom kitchens and baths, millwork, lighting, furnishings, and art, with founder-led project management from concept through installation.
Will Beth Insabella Walsh personally be involved in my project?
Yes. If a decision needs to be made about your house, whether that is a paint drawdown, a hardware finish, or a change once the walls are open, it goes through Beth, not a project coordinator relaying information back and forth. You will have her number, not a portal.
We're only here summers. Can you manage the project while we're away?
Many of our shore clients are seasonal. We manage the trades, deliveries, and installation end to end, keeping you informed remotely so the house is ready when you return.
